Students are encouraged to meet with the Program Coordinator for help planning the coursework and schedule for thesis completion. They are also encouraged to meet with the Faculty Director for advice on topic, selecting an advisor, and choosing courses. Submit your completed application to the Program in Ethics in Society Office at the law school (Crown Quadrangle), room 323. The application will be reviewed and approved by the Faculty Director.
Eligibility Requirements: The Honors Program in Ethics in Society is open to majors in every field and may be taken in addition to the department major. Students should apply for entry at the end of Spring Quarter of the Sophomore year or at the beginning of the Autumn Quarter of the Junior year. Applicants should have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher.
In order to remain a member of the Honors Program, students should also maintain a 3.3 minimum average in the courses taken to satisfy the requirements (as well as a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher). Approved coursework to satisfy the requirements must be taken in addition to coursework for the major.
