Brian is a Ph.D. candidate in the environment and energy group in the Department of Management Science and Engineering. His research centers on measuring the social and economic impacts of climate change, with a particular focus on identifying adaptation strategies that can help reduce these impacts. He is also investigating the extent to which distributed generation might help decarbonize the US energy system. He holds an M.Sc. in environmental economics from Yale University and a B.S.E. in operations research and financial engineering from Princeton University.
