Elliot is a mechanical engineering Ph.D. student in the Dynamic Design Lab at Stanford. His work centers around the interplay of human driving and autonomous vehicle control. He is focused on exploring the values that are most important to humans in the context of autonomous vehicles and designing algorithms that capture and reflect these values. His interests include human factors research, social and legal impacts of autonomous systems, and optimal robotic control. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Brown University.
