Biomedical Informatics

Nicole is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Informatics program at Stanford. Her current research in the lab of Stephen Montgomery focuses on genome interpretation, and specifically, on how rare genetic variants contribute to phenotype. She is supported by an NSF graduate fellowship. Nicole is also a host and producer on a science-communication podcast, Goggles Optional. Prior to Stanford, she received her B.S./M.S. degrees in biomedical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Her research at Drexel focused on the role of macrophages in wound healing, and she worked on several clinical informatics projects with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
