Philosophy

Olga is a Ph.D. candidate in the Philosophy Department and a research fellow at the Stanford Basic Income Lab. She works on Kant's socio-political philosophy and on contemporary political theory. Her dissertation is about the phenomenon of political fragmentation and notion of "political pluralism," which she takes to be one of the foundational concepts of modern democracy. Specifically, Olga is interested in the differences between Kant’s and Rawls’s conceptions of political pluralism and how they can aid us in developing conceptual tools for finding ways of arriving at a consensus about our core ethical and political values.
