The Future of Religion and the Religion of the Future: Tanner Lecture 1

Roberto Mangabeira Unger, Roscoe Pound Professor of Law at Harvard University, discusses the source and goal of a revolution in the religious consciousness of humanity and describes the program of this revolution. The purpose of the Tanner Lectures is to advance and reflect upon the scholarly and scientific learning relating to human values. This intention embraces the entire range of values pertinent to the human condition, interest, behavior, and aspiration. The Series contains two lectures and two discussions. Lectures take place from 5:30 - 7:00 pm (Levinthal Hall, Stanford Humanities Center) on 4/15 and 4/16. Discussions take place from 10:00am -12:00pm (Landau Economics Bldg, SIEPR A.) on 4/16 and 4/17.
