Ryan Pevnick / Political Theory Workshop

Ryan Pevnick is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics at New York University. His current work is primarily in democratic theory, focusing – in particular – on questions related to the justification of representative democracy. Much of his earlier work was on immigration, and he has also written on a variety of other topics–including philanthropy, distributive justice, campaign finance reform, and civil liberties.
