Open to Stanford undergrads only.           

The McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society and Veritas at Stanford present, “Socrates at Sunset: The Boundaries of Humanity.” What is it to be human? How will biotech-mediated enhancements affect our understanding of human nature and dignity? What role will our ideas, perspectives, and technological powers play as we go forward into our human future? Come discuss these big questions casually with friends over boba on Meyer Green. Starting with a short interview with Professor William Hurlbut (Stanford Neurobiology, co-director of the Boundaries of Humanity project), we will be having a discussion on the role of technology in our society.
