Tanner Discussion Seminar: John Cooper "Ancient Philosophies as Ways of Life"

2nd of 2 discussion seminars~~~The Tanner Lecture Series consists of two lectures and two discussion seminars. The overall theme of this year's lectures is: "Ancient Philosophies as Ways of Life."  Today's seminar focuses on the issues raised in the second lecture, "Platonist Philosophy as a Way of Life: Plotinus." Commentators: Anthony Long (Classics, Berkeley) Jaclyn Maxwell (History, Ohio University) The first lecture, "Ancient Philosophies as a Way of Life: Socrates" takes place on January 25, 5:30-7:00pm. The discussion seminar for this talk takes place on January 26, 10:00am-12:00pm.
