Welcoming our 2026 Ethics and Technology Practitioner Fellows

Grid of headshots of 13 ethics and tech practitioner fellows

We're pleased to announce the 2026 cohort of Ethics and Technology Practitioner Fellows. The fellowship program supports mid-career practitioners working at the frontlines of technology, connecting real-world problem-solving with academic inquiry. This year’s fellows bring diverse experiences from varied domains, including public service, journalism, sustainability, civic innovation, and more. Growing from our inaugural year, this year we've doubled the cohort and are excited to welcome 13 fellows hailing from tech companies, civil society, and government. Profiles of each fellow can be found here

Connecting directly with Stanford faculty and mentors in the field, each fellow will pursue an independent research project addressing varying ethical and societal challenges in technology, culminating in a final public showcase and published assets at the end of the fellowship. To kick-off their fellowship, fellows will travel to Stanford's campus to convene January 26th through the 30th.
