Amari Porter

Amari is a sophomore from Broward County, Florida, pursuing a Symbolic Systems major in the Human-Centered AI track. She is deeply passionate about leveraging technology to drive social change. Specifically, she is committed to mitigating systemic bias perpetuated by AI and addressing the funding disparity in the venture capital industry for minority-owned businesses. By working as an intern for the Center for Social Innovation at the GSB and within the Stanford Social Entrepreneurial Students' Association, she is dedicated to contributing to a developing movement of using AI for social good. Outside of school, she loves photography, learning new skills, listening to every genre of music, and finding new beaches on the West Coast!
