Arshya Gaur
Arshya Gaur is a Junior from New Delhi, India pursuing a double major in Political Science, concentrating in Justice and Law and Political Economy & Development, and Communication with a focus on Human-Computer interaction. Arshya’s passion for ethical AI regulation stems from enabling technological progress that is compatible with socioeconomic equity - a goal requiring political, legal, and technological cooperation. Arshya brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her projects by synergizing her strengths in public policy and debate with statistical and programming skills. In addition, her knowledge in the field is enhanced by both academic credentials like her certification on AI Strategies and Governance from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania and research experience in the Social Media Lab in the Cyber Policy Center. Currently, she is the Director of Communications at Stanford AI Alignment, a Stanford Existential Risks Initiative (SERI) initiative and research community at Stanford University. Ultimately, her goal is to be a pioneer in making transparency and fairness the guiding values of all Big Tech initiatives. In her free time, Arshya enjoys working out and maintaining a close connection with her family back home.
