Caroline Yee

Caroline Yee is a Research Associate with the Technology Ethics & Policy Rising Scholars Program at the Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI), where she divides her work between two domains: privacy and corporate compliance research with Dr. Jennifer King, and AI policy research with HAI’s Policy & Society team, focusing on healthcare AI governance and global AI sovereignty. 

Before joining Stanford, she worked as a Researcher with UC Berkeley’s Executive Fellowship in Applied Technology Policy, partnering with Jenny Toomey to investigate how the tech industry shapes artistic labor and cultural ecosystems. Caroline holds a B.A. in Data Science and Economics from UC Berkeley. She enjoys making art, reading, and backpacking her way through California’s national parks.
