Haley Lepp

Haley is a PhD candidate studying the social contexts in which people build language and information technologies, and the visions of societal change that circulate in those contexts. Her mixed-methods research draws on sociology of knowledge, media studies, and science and technology studies. Previously, she worked as an NLP engineer and built digital education programs for students in Jordan, Iraq, and the U.S. She holds a master's degree in Computational Linguistics from the University of Washington and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
