JB Lim

JB (he/him), originally from South Korea, is a senior majoring in Mathematical and Computational Science (MCS) and International Relations major. An honors student at the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC), he is concurrently pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science with a concentration in artificial intelligence. After his sophomore year, he served in the Korean Army for 18 months as a Squad Leader Sergeant and English Specialist. 

JB’s passion lies in merging computational knowledge and social science perspectives to address global challenges, particularly those on international security and emerging technologies. With experience working in academic research labs, the technology industry, and military bases, he hopes to make meaningful contributions to both the public and private sectors. In his free time, JB is a soccer aficionado, music enthusiast, and aspiring rapper.
