Joy Kim

Joy is a philosophy major, creative writing minor, and a coterminal student in East Asian Studies with a focus in applied ethics and international relations. 

She is interested in the emerging risks of agentic AI and in the consequential questions of impact and accountability that must be answered. She is also interested in issues with mass surveillance and AI’s impact on education. On campus, she is Vice President of External Relations at Stanford PIT Lab, where she organizes events and discussions of tech ethics with the larger campus community. 

But in her free time, she enjoys hunting for places to eat, reading scifi, and running(ish)!
