Placement: European Center for Not-For-Profit Law

Juhae is a sophomore from Minnesota studying History and Computer Science, with concentrations in political economy and legal history, and in AI and visual computing, respectively.

Coming from a background in the social sciences and humanities, she is deeply interested in examining the structural and historical conditions from which technology emerges. At the Stanford Changing Cities Research Lab, Juhae used computer vision and machine learning to analyze housing patterns and neighborhood inequality, and at the Hoover Institution, she examined how U.S.–China geopolitical relations and securitization impact Asian and Asian American researchers and scientists. She also works as a software engineer for the Stanford Medicine Informed Population Health Opinions (INPHO) project, which aims to provide clear, unbiased information on urgent public health issues.

Outside of research, Juhae is training to be an EMT, engages in political organizing, and enjoys reading philosophy, critical theory, and fantasy.
