Julia Kwak

Julia (she/her), a first-generation college student and a low-income immigrant from South Korea, is pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy. She is passionate about prioritizing the perspectives of the marginalized in tech scholarship and practice. She is currently working with the Embedded EthiCS program to build rigorous curricula that engages students with the ethicality in computer and automated systems. When she’s off-duty, she enjoys singing with the Stanford Chamber Chorale, baking puff pastry, and discovering restaurant gems.
