Katie Xin
Katie Xin is a sophomore from Palm Springs, California, studying Economics and Design.
She is drawn to the spaces where design thinking and public policy intersect — believing that the most meaningful technology centers the people it serves. As a Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) undergraduate fellow at the Golub Capital Social Impact Lab, she works on AI-driven English language literacy tools for students in rural India. Her work involves product development and building algorithmic fairness frameworks. Her broader work spans public interest tech, housing, and education reform, with an interest in behavioral and public economics. She also writes opinions for The Stanford Daily.
When not prototyping, Katie can be found on a Bay Area trail, writing poetry, or adding to her stationery collection.
