Lila Shroff is a sophomore from Seattle majoring in Symbolic Systems, with a concentration in human-centered artificial intelligence, and minoring in English. Her experience spans venture capital, consumer startups, public journalism, and research in neuroscience and internet policy. Currently, Lila co-leads a HAI student group exploring generative AI, the future of creative expression, and related policy questions. Lila dreams of one day starting a media and research studio that combines the strengths of human and machine creativity to tell stories. Since high school, Lila has been passionate about building a healthier internet, and her writings on the topic have been published in the Harvard Business Review and elsewhere. In her free time, Lila loves running, poetry, and creative writing.
