Lillian Sanders
Lillian is a junior from Sebastopol, California, studying computer science. Through her work as a research assistant in Stanford’s Remote Sensing Ecohydrology Group, she has leveraged computer science and data analytics to calculate changes in evapotranspiration and their global climate impacts. As a student in the Structured Liberal Education program, she gained insight into the philosophical and ethical challenges humanity has been grappling with for centuries. She is eager to continue working at the intersection of ethical technology and climate research, gaining insight towards innovative solutions to address environmental challenges in the context of today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. In her free time, she enjoys playing saxophone and drums in the marching band, walking her dogs, and reading.
