Saba Weatherspoon
Saba (she/her) is a junior majoring in international relations and minoring in computer science. She is enthusiastic about the issue of policymakers grappling with the dynamic landscape of rapidly evolving technology and the ensuing policy debates surrounding emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and biotechnology. With experience working in Apple’s Security Department, local politics, and community organizing, Saba prioritizes evidence-based solutions and possesses the adaptability to engage in projects drawing from a diverse skill set, involving either technical or interpersonal knowledge and experiences. On campus, she plays for the women’s club soccer team, and is on the executive boards for Stanford’s Society of Black Scientists and Engineers and the Black Student Union. In her free time, Saba enjoys making music, traveling, and eating good food with friends.
