Sam Lustgarten

Sam is a Senior majoring in Economics and pursuing a Coterminal degree in Computer Science, specializing in AI. 

He has previously worked as an intern for the US senate and at a national security AI start-up, as well as conducted research at the Hoover Institution and the Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research, where his work focused on how to make government welfare programs more effective and affordable. This summer, he is excited to learn how people use their technical backgrounds to improve government systems that countless people rely on. 

In his free time, he enjoys writing comedy, eating with friends, and listening to the Rolling Stones.
