Sonnet Xu

Sonnet, a Stanford sophomore, is passionate about leveraging technology for equity and collective welfare. As a computer science student and research assistant at Stanford Medicine, she focuses on enhancing AI transparency, and mitigating bias. She is working with Stanford Health Policy to evaluate informed consent practices at the intersection of AI and healthcare. Sonnet is also interested in national security applications of emerging technologies, drawing from her past experience living along the southern border and working with the US Navy. Through the ICDP Fellowship, she aims to bridge perspectives, foster constructive dialogue surrounding these complex topics, and advance conversation beyond conflict toward understanding.
