Veronica Augustina Bot
Bioengineering
Veronica is a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford. Her current research focuses on age-related cognitive decline in the laboratory of Dr. Tony Wyss-Coray. Veronica is interested in exploring the landscape of ethics in society, particularly how it relates to the translation of meaningful supports for the aging population. She is passionate about novel bioinformatic methods, including AI models - and their usage for aging research.
Prior to starting her PhD, Veronica was engaged in research at the Population Health Research Institute in Canada. While at PHRI, she examined inequities in the delivery of cardiovascular care. She obtained a BS in Physics and MS in Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University.
