Eamonn Callan is the Pigott Family School of Education Professor, Emeritus. He is a philosopher of education whose work draws heavily on contemporary moral and political theory. His principal interests are in civic and moral education, and in the application of theories of justice and democracy to problems in educational policy and practice.
Barbara Fried is the William W. and Gertrude S. Saunders Professor of Law at Stanford. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of law, philosophy and economics. Her most recent book, "Facing Up to Scarcity: The Logic and Limits of Nonconsequentialism," is forthcoming from Oxford University Press (winter 2020). She regularly teaches courses on feminist theory and the law at the law school.
