Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources (E-IPER)

Sarah is a Ph.D. student in the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources (E-IPER), interested in bridging research-and-practice gaps by reshaping interactions between researchers, communities, and decision-makers. Her research explores the cognitive and social processes through which decision support systems—both digital decision support tools and regional climate networks— influence adaptation planning, with implications for developing resilience to water-related hazards.

Prior to coming to Stanford, she worked on healthcare innovation and equity research at the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit and the Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics. She holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
